MP3 or MP4: which format do you need?
MP3
Sound without the picture
MP3 contains audio only. The output is encoded from the available source track; converting cannot restore detail missing from the original. A silent video cannot produce an MP3 with sound.
MP4
Picture and sound together
MP4 keeps video and any available audio together. Import currently selects available streams up to 720p; the original source can be lower quality. It does not upscale video or promise a 4K download.
