0:00So this is a realistic timeline
0:01on how long it's going to take you to hit $1 million
0:04with your clothing brand? Based on how long it took me
0:06and most of the other brand owners that you guys know very well.
0:09Alright, so year one,
0:09you are not going to hit $1 million.
0:11And that is because
0:13you lack the skills necessary to run a clothing brand
0:15at a level to hit a million dollars.
0:17Right. There's a lot of skills that go into it.
0:18It's content skills, it's product development skills,
0:21it's revision skills, it's marketing skills,
0:23it's. I mean,
0:24there's a million different skills.
0:25Knowing the softwares, knowing how to operate the softwares.
0:28Right. So year one is going to be learning the bare bones of this, right?
0:31And you can expect to make between four and five figures
0:35your first year. I think our first year
0:37we did about $90,000 while we were still learning all the.
0:40All these skills. And we sucked at everything,
0:42We were just barely good enough to make clothes that we could sell
0:45and to make videos that could sell the clothing.
0:47Right. So year two,
0:49you're probably still not gonna hit $1 million.
0:51You may, but more than likely you will double,
0:54if not quadruple what you did year one.
0:56Right. So this is because you're now better at those skills.
0:59You now have those skills and now you have new problems to deal with.
1:02Right? You have supply chain issues,
1:04To deal with, you have ash flow management issues.
1:07To deal with, you have shitty margins. Right.
1:09And by end of year two,
1:10you're probably either halfway through a mill to a mill or like,
1:14getting pretty close,
1:15depending on whether you not you've found a winning product
1:18and whether or not you have found a winning ad strategy
1:22or creative strategy or organic strategy.
1:24Right. Typically takes a while to do that
1:26because that requires typically either a, 1.
1:28A really good product or 2,
1:30a really, really solid brand identity and kind of like,
1:33community foundation to push that organic, um, acquisition.
1:38Right. So year three is probably whenever you will hit it. Right.
1:41This is when you'll be pretty good at all the skills
1:43and your taste will be up to par to understand, like,
1:46what are even good products.
1:47That's a big thing no one talks about is taste development.
1:50In the beginning, you have no taste.
1:51You don't know what clothes are good.
1:53You just know, hey,
1:53I wanna make clothes. I like these clothes.
1:55But you don't know the full scope of what's good and what's not.
1:58But by year two or three, you typically have like,
2:01pretty good taste
2:02and a pretty good idea what good clothes are versus bad clothes.
2:05Right. So by year three is probably when you will hit it.
2:09Um, we hit it in year two,
2:10but, um,
2:11that is because we had some advantages
2:13and I had a Lot of experience with content,
2:15so I was really, really good at making content that was converting and,
2:18you know, attracted a lot of attention.
2:19Right. So that is a realistic timeline,
2:22in my opinion. That is,
2:24if you are familiar with clothing before you get into things.
2:26At least somewhat familiar
2:28and also somewhat familiar with content.
2:30So, um, yeah,
2:31if you guys disagree, if you guys think it's gonna take longer,
2:34then hit me in the comments.
2:35I'm an aggressive scaler. I am an aggressive. Like,
2:37I'll take every risk ever known to man.
2:40So that's kind of my ideology,
2:41walking into this and, you know,
2:43scaling brands and stuff. I mean,
2:45I'll go to fucking 0, you know,
2:46to push for my next collection or my next campaign,
2:49whatever it is next that I wanna do.
2:51So if you guys disagree, let me know.
2:52I'd love to yak about this.
