0:58unless, in my view, the physical world really comes out of conscious beings that have mathematics.

3:09of things that men, especially men like myself, find unexplainable.
3:16They have great, women have intuition, men see things a bit differently.
3:21men want to measure everything. Women are not really that interested in measuring.
3:29In what you're saying in macro terms, you actually think science, mathematics, maybe ultimately technology, is moving to that more intuitive?
3:39I think science and math are old-fashioned.
3:43And unfortunately, people are still taught that they have to learn algebra in school and certain things in school,
3:50as opposed to learning to have an emotion.
3:54Is this what Larry Summers was trying to get at?
3:56Maybe he didn't say it perfectly enough,
3:59but what he was trying to get to in that system,
4:02the systems we study today,
4:04the way mathematics is either taught or understood,
4:07that women just haven't gotten up to the highest realms
4:10of engineering or physics or mathematics because of that,
4:14and you're actually implying that there's either a new branch of science
4:18or we've hit an inflection point like in Newton,

4:48There's lots to discover with a relationship to the physical world,
4:52but we know a lot already.
4:53In respect to the unexplainable world, we almost know nothing.

5:05but Howard Gardner early on said,
5:09there's not one form of intelligence.
5:11It's not mathematical intelligence.
5:14There's emotional intelligence, this kinesthetic intelligence.
5:18You know, there's this argument that I reject
5:21that black people are less intelligent than white people.
5:24It's not true.
5:26We know, for example, that if I was in the forest
5:30and I had to run from the lion
5:33or figure out a way not to be eaten,
5:35and my competition is a local African,
5:40I'm the one who's getting eaten
5:42because they have the intelligence
5:44to deal with their local environment.
5:47So it's just different.
5:48It's not better, it's not worse,
5:50but there's many differences amongst different types of people.
5:53And so people have different intelligences,
5:55and they excel in some intelligences usually,
5:59and less so in others.
