Facebook Reels editor for a fresh version

Turn one short recording into an edit for your next post. Keep the useful sections, make the words readable and add your sound before preparing the video, cover and description.

Your link carries over to the studio. Sign in if prompted, and the import continues automatically after your submission.

Public links only. Facebook Reels may block downloads or ask for verification. If importing fails, upload a video file you can access.

How to edit a Facebook Reel online

  1. Start from a public link or your file

Import one accessible Facebook reel or video, or upload a local MP4, MOV, M4V or WebM file. Sources must fit within 180 seconds and 100 MB.

  2. Make the cut and update the captions

Arrange up to eight source sections, choose a canvas ratio and revise or translate the subtitle lines. Add your own MP3 or a timed text note where the edit needs it.

  3. Prepare the files for your next post

Choose a cover frame, add a cover title and optionally generate a description in your selected language. Review the processed video, then download the creation pack.

Build a complete short-video edit

Trim and reorder one source

Remove a slow opening and join the parts you need. You select each start and end time yourself; the editor does not automatically detect highlights or combine multiple source videos.

Prepare a vertical version

Choose 9:16 for a 720 by 1280 canvas, or use square, landscape or original ratio. Footage is fitted with black padding when needed. Preview the result to check framing.

Take the publishing assets with you

Export MP4, timed SRT, JPG cover and separate audio when present. Generated descriptions can be reviewed and copied or downloaded as text. Publishing stays in your hands.

Before you start

The current editor accepts videos up to 180 seconds and 100 MB. Cloud imports, AI processing and exports require sign-in. Portrait video exports use a 720 × 1280 canvas. Only upload material that can be public: the editor uses a public asset bucket.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit someone else’s public reel?

Use only footage you own or have permission to edit. A public URL does not transfer reuse rights. Private or login-only reels cannot be imported.

Does this post or schedule Facebook Reels?

No. The editor prepares downloadable files. Upload and schedule them through your own Facebook account or publishing tool.

Can I remove old subtitles and add another language?

Yes. Translate the caption text and optionally smooth the region containing the original burned-in text. Nearby pixels fill the area, so the background can change. Check the processed preview before downloading.

What if Facebook blocks the import?

Upload a video file you can access within the 180-second and 100-MB limits. You can try the included sample and edit text locally; importing, AI tasks and cloud exports require sign-in.
