Facebook Reels subtitle translator

Create a readable version of a reel for another audience. Choose the subtitle language, review the translated lines and export a separate SRT or a video with the new captions.

Your link carries over to the studio. Sign in if prompted, and the import continues automatically after your submission.

Public links only. Facebook Reels may block downloads or ask for verification. If importing fails, upload a video file you can access.

How to translate subtitles for Facebook Reels

  1. Choose your reel and language

Enter a public Facebook reel or video link and select the language you need. Import it in the editor, or upload a local video if Facebook restricts access.

  2. Bring the words into the project

Read source captions when available, generate them from audible speech or import an SRT. Translate the timed captions and check wording, names and start and end times.

  3. Export the translated version

Download SRT or burn the translation into a new MP4. If the original text is already in the picture, optionally smooth its region and inspect the processed preview.

Make subtitles work across languages

Choose the audience language

The translation follows your selected target language, saved for later use. You can review every caption before taking the result back to your publishing workflow.

Work with captions in different forms

Accessible platform captions can be read as text. Burned-in text is part of the picture, so it cannot be read as a subtitle track; use speech recognition or your own SRT for that footage.

Replace old text with a reviewed translation

The optional old-subtitle removal smooths a selected region using nearby pixels. It can affect background detail. New translated captions are then added to the exported video.

Before you start

The current editor accepts videos up to 180 seconds and 100 MB. Cloud imports, AI processing and exports require sign-in. Portrait video exports use a 720 × 1280 canvas. Only upload material that can be public: the editor uses a public asset bucket.

Frequently asked questions

Does this translate the reel inside Facebook?

No. It creates a translated SRT or new MP4 for you to download. It does not change the original Facebook post or publish to your account.

What if the reel has captions visible but no subtitle track?

Those captions may be burned into the picture. Generate text from the speech when recognition is available, import an SRT or enter the lines manually. Image-text recognition is not included.

Can I translate the voice?

This tool translates captions, not spoken audio. You can separately upload your own recorded MP3 and mix or replace sound in the Timed inserts panel.

What videos can I translate?

Use an accessible public video or your own upload, up to 180 seconds and 100 MB. Translation and video export require sign-in. Private reels and login-only posts cannot be imported.
