0:00all these people making so much money on TikTok Shop
0:02and then I look at their accounts and they have like
0:05no views and they're like
0:06I make a million bajillion dollars from TikTok Shop
0:09I'm like literally how
0:11but then I started it because I was like
0:13honestly I just wanted free stuff
0:15but I'm figuring out like
0:17one out of 100 videos do good
0:19so like
0:19when you're seeing people's accounts
0:21you're like why are they literally flopping
0:23um don't worry
0:24they're probably still making money
0:26and all that money is coming from one singular video
0:28that maybe you don't see at the top of their profile
0:30cause they posted it a month ago
0:32because the thing with TikTok Shop is like
0:35it can literally be passive income
0:37obviously the more videos that you post
0:39the more chances you have at getting a viral video that does good
0:42bring some money passively
0:44but honestly don't knock it till you try it
0:47because I used to judge I used to think like
0:50how are these people even making money
0:51like this has to be fake
0:52I just looked at their profile
0:54they uploaded 15 videos today and have no views
0:57the thing is when you post a TikTok shop
0:58like you can have a video you made a month ago
1:01and then suddenly it goes viral
1:03there's just so many things that go into it and like
1:05exposure plus and then also
1:08you know if you become a spotlight
1:09creator one month but not the other month
1:11then it just pushes your videos out naturally
1:14and that's where you're gonna get your extra views
1:16and things randomly pop off
1:19I know people sell courses on it
1:20I know people like
1:22do this and this and find
1:24find a product that's not over saturated
1:25like what I did
1:26I just found products that I thought were cool that I wanted to try
1:30and it made it easy to make a video on it
1:31and I always like being authentic
1:33so I'm not trying to come up with some like
1:35marketing plan to get people to buy stuff
1:38like I just posted I like
1:39and that's what I've done
1:40and it's been pretty helpful for me
1:41especially as a college kid
1:43so if you're not on the TikTok shop
1:45like you should honestly just try
1:47and people like how do I start
1:49okay well
1:49what you're gonna do is go around your house or dorm
1:51or wherever you live find something
1:54find it on TikTok Shop
1:55because TikTok Shop is basically like Amazon at this point
1:59and then just make a video and link it
2:01like you don't need a free sample to start
2:02you just need something that is also sold on the TikTok Shop
2:06and that's literally it and then once you start generating GMV
2:09which is basically just money
2:11then you can actually request free samples
