0:00If I wanted to go from zero to full time creator,
0:02these are the exact steps I would follow.
0:04As someone that now does it full time
0:06and who is able to do that in just over a year and a half
0:08and can now make five figure months.
0:10Number one. It sounds really cliche,
0:12but you actually just have to start
0:13instead of commenting on someone else's post like how do I start?
0:17There's no right or wrong answer.
0:19You just have to start. And you learn so many things by doing that.
0:22It will look messy, it won't be great.
0:24Your first 50 or 100 videos may not even be amazing.
0:28But that's the point. Like anything,
0:30the first time you do it is never going to be your best work.
0:33Thinking back now,
0:34I would much rather have started sooner to get that messy phase out of the way.
0:38No. 2. At the start
0:39I think it's actually okay to take inspiration from what you see doing well
0:42because that is your only reference point as to what's good content.
0:46I know this is an unpopular opinion,
0:48but when someone copies me
0:49I actually take it as a compliment
0:50and I'm really happy for them because they might actually just be starting out.
0:53No. 3 is quantity over quality.
0:56Now that makes no sense, but actually hear me out.
0:58Quality is important. It's really good to add value,
1:00be authentic, all of these different things.
1:02But how Are you gonna get that?
1:03The only way to realise what quality is is through quantity.
1:06And so without burning yourself out, obviously,
1:08because you're going to be doing this around a full time job
1:11as much as you can while still enjoying it and being consistent.
1:14But it might look like posting three times a week or whatever is feasible
1:17if you think about it. If you posted 10 times,
1:19that gives you more of an indication of what went well
1:22rather than posting once before.
1:23Be constantly improving upon your previous content.
1:26Always think could I make that hook better?
1:28Basically study the mechanics of how content creation works.
1:31Hooks, value,
1:32call to actions, all of these different things.
1:34Even as a bigger creator, your content can still flop
1:36because it's always an iterative process and you're always experimenting.
1:39So look at your analytics,
1:41repeat what went well
1:42and ditch the things that didn't do well or improve upon them.
1:44No. 5 detach from the outcomes.
1:47Me personally, I started with no intention of this ever even being a side hustle,
1:51let alone my full time job.
1:52If you have PR, brand deals,
1:54etcetera all in your mind before you start,
1:57unfortunately
1:57I don't think you're gonna be as successful as someone that just genuinely
2:00enjoys it. There will be people that would show up on here
2:03even if they weren't monetizing it.
2:05I definitely would.
2:05And so I've never actually had a vision board or goal for Content creation.
2:09All of the amazing things have happened to me because of this,
2:12have come because I actually enjoy it
2:14and I want to do it consistently.
2:15And so the last question might be,
2:16how do you monetize? Cause none of those points even address that.
2:19But I personally feel that monetization is a byproduct of making great content
2:23that is actually valuable to other people.
2:25If you're hitting all of these different points,
2:27monetization will actually become inevitable.
2:30If you enjoyed this video,
2:31give it a like and follow for more content from me.
