0:50Let me show you the case for Donald Trump's impeachment and conviction as set forth by Democratic Senator Chris Murphy.
0:59So he took to the Senate floor and he said the following, Trump has turned the White House into a 24-7 corruption machine.
1:08This is a national crisis.
1:10Trump thinks the public will stop paying attention if he floods the zone with constant disinformation, with constant chaos.
1:19So, Senator Chris Murphy says, I went to the Senate floor to call his bluff.
1:25I told the entire story of what went down in 500 days.

1:34Let's play it.
1:35This moment is exceptional.
1:37It is a one of one moment.
1:39And if it becomes normal, if people stop being outraged at what he is doing to enrich himself,
1:47then I fear there is no going back.
1:50The White House will just become a place to get rich.
1:55So I think it's time to pull back and see the full picture.
2:00To not view this as just one isolated scandal after another,
2:05every single one popping up each week or every few days,
2:08but to understand the full scope of this illegality.
2:13Last year, I came to the floor to document the first 100 days of Donald Trump's mind-blowing corruption.
2:22Since then, especially in 2026, the pace of his misconduct has quickened dramatically.
2:33And so I'm here on the floor today, and I'm going to spend more than a few minutes doing this, laying out what has happened since I gave that last speech.
2:44This is the story of 500 days of corruption.
2:49Next, Senator Murphy talks about the April 7th, 2025 date of corruption.
2:56Donald Trump, one of the biggest crypto players in the world, declares we will no longer be enforcing our laws against the crypto industry.
3:06Active fraud investigations are shut down.
3:09The entire crypto enforcement team at the DOJ is fired.

3:14And I'm going to start on April 7th, 2025.
3:23This is when the current acting attorney general, Todd Blanche,
3:30issues a memo ordering the termination of several Biden-era DOJ investigations into crypto companies.
3:40Now, here's the problem.
3:42the then deputy attorney general, is a major investor in crypto companies.
3:50And he works for a president who is a major player in the crypto industry.
3:58But DOJ just drops these investigations,
4:04signals that the Department of Justice is no longer going to hold crypto companies accountable.
4:09But Blanche owns major investments in crypto stocks.
4:13The president is one of the biggest players in the industry.
4:17Blanche doesn't actually stop there.
4:20He eliminates the entire enforcement team at DOJ dedicated to rooting out crypto-related fraud and money laundering schemes.
4:30This is a crypto investor who works for a president who owns crypto companies, shutting down the unit at DOJ that holds this industry accountable.
4:43Now, I should also note after watching that, you see why though we need regulation doesn't
4:51mean we need over-regulation, but we need the right amount of regulations because even
4:57for the industry, crypto has crashed right now.
5:01And to me, it's not a coincidence that it crashes under the guy who says, I'm the crypto
5:07guy.
5:08Everything Donald Trump touches dies.
5:10Next date of corruption, September 23rd, 2026.
5:15Borders are Tom Homan caught by FBI agents taking bribes in exchange for federal contracts.
5:22The FBI has video footage of Tom Homan accepting a bribe, a big bag of cash.

5:46The FBI had caught Tom Homan red-handed, engaging in naked corruption. Undercover agents
5:55had handed him $50,000 in cash, in a bag, and he agreed to give them government contracts.
6:03This was on video. This is the borders are getting a bag of cash in exchange for contracts on video.
6:12But the administration on September 20th just makes the investigation go away because that kind of bribery.
6:23That kind of naked graft is OK in this White House.

6:33Trump's crypto corruption comes full circle.
6:37He pardons Changping Zhao, or CZ as he goes by, the convicted money launderer of terrorists,
6:45drug cartels, and sex traffickers, the biggest in the world.
6:50Donald Trump says, how may I help you?
6:53Zhao helped Trump and his family set up a crypto coin scheme.
6:57And here's what Donald Trump did. Murphy lays out the case. Let's play it.
7:02Maybe the most nakedly corrupt pardon, a single senator that could defend this.
7:08Chengpeng Zhao built an entire business based on allowing terrorists, drug traffickers and sex predators to use his cryptocurrency to evade the law.
7:20He went to jail for this.
7:25But he also helped Trump launch his crypto business.
7:30So who cares about financing terrorists and sex criminals?
7:36Trump gives this guy a full pardon on October 7th.
7:41It's naked.
7:43This is a guy who built a company that allowed terrorists and sex predators
7:48to engage in private financing.
7:52He went to jail.
7:53He got out of jail because he agreed to help get Trump rich.
7:57Next day of corruption, November 4th, 2025.
8:01The White House forces the Pentagon to give a company owned by Trump's kids
8:06a massive government contract and a $670 million loan.
8:11No competitive bidding process, all taxpayer dollars.
8:15Donald Trump Jr. 10X'd his profits, folks.
8:20And this is in matters of war and peace also.
8:23The corruption by itself needs to be called out for its criminality, as Senator Murphy
8:29puts it, for its corruption.
8:30I'm giving you my opinion, of course, as protected by the First Amendment of the United States
8:35Constitution.
8:36But let me also just say this, it's war and peace.
8:39So if you're giving contracts to people who shouldn't get these contracts, instead of
8:43say, I don't know who's good at manufacturing drones right now. Maybe the Ukrainians are
8:49probably good at drones. Like, you know, maybe you want to go buy drones. No, no, no. It's Don
8:54Jr. and Eric. Here, play this clip. It's not just Trump's corporate donors that are getting rich now.
9:00Part of the White House's daily operation is to find creative ways to funnel taxpayer money
9:05to Trump's kids. This one's wild. The Trump administration in November, early November,
9:14announces a really unusual deal. The government, the Pentagon, is taking a $50 million stake
9:22in a single rare earth minerals company called Vulcan Elements and giving them a $620 million
9:32taxpayer funded loan. That is big money. And the Pentagon doesn't really do deals like this.
9:40But they do when Donald Trump Jr. is one of the company's key investors. We come to find out
9:46that civil servants in the Pentagon did not want to do this deal. Only did it because the White
9:52House told them to do the deal. One official said, quote, the call came from the White House.
9:58We have to get this done.
10:00Before the deal, Vulcan was worth $200 million.
10:05Donald Trump Jr. made an investment.
10:08His father got the Pentagon to give them the contract and buy the stake in the company.
10:15And the valuation jumped overnight, $200 million to $2 billion.
10:23Donald Trump Jr. 10X'd his profits.
10:28I mean, has anybody in this body justify that?
10:34You've probably not even heard that story.
10:38It barely cracked the news.
10:41Like in normal times, that scandal alone, the president's son making an investment in the company,
10:47the federal government then making a massive investment subsequently.
10:52The Pentagon didn't want to do it, only did it because the president told them to do it
10:57after his son made the investment and the value of the president's son's investment went
11:02up by 10 times, that scandal alone would take down a presidency.

11:23But why do they think they can get away with this?
11:26Why does anybody think they can get away with this?
11:28So much of this is illegal, right?
11:30You would say to yourself,
11:32nobody would engage in that kind of naked illegal practice.
11:37Nobody would award contracts to the kids
11:42knowing that that doesn't pass legal muster,
11:45on April 10th, you figure out why they think they're going to get away with it.
11:51On April 10th, Donald Trump makes an explicit promise
11:55that everybody engaged in this corruption will get away with it.
12:02Here is his quote on April 10th, as the pace of this corruption increases.
12:07Quote, I will pardon everyone within 200 feet of the White House.
12:17So now you understand why people think they can get away with it.
12:20April 27, 2026, Trump's ballroom contractor gets a no bid $17 million contract to refurbish the reflecting pool.
12:30The actual cost of the project was $3 million.
12:33dollars. But Trump inflated the price for his friends. We, the taxpayers, are funding all of
12:38this disgusting crap as Donald Trump has turned Washington, D.C. into a literal swamp cesspool
12:45junkyard. It looks like the mold that's all over Donald Trump's properties. Play this clip.
12:52Trump wants to get all his friends involved in the grift now. So Trump gives a no bid
12:58$17 million contract to refurbish two fountains near the White House, including the reflecting pool.
13:06We're living with the consequences of this corruption right now, as we have a green reflecting pool.
13:13This is a completely unqualified contractor who is already in over his head because he's involved
13:19in the ballroom, and he gets a new $17 million contract. Does it really cost $17 million to
13:25clean up fountains? The answer from the National Park Service itself is no. In fact, the National
13:33Park Service was planning to bid that contract out for one-fifth what Trump gave it to his friend for.
13:41But it was a no-bid contract. It just went to Donald Trump's friend. The value was wildly
13:48inflated. And so now Trump's buddy has an extra $14 million, more than the actual cost of the
13:55project. It's your money. Money doesn't grow on trees. This is taxpayer money. It's supposed to
14:03cost $3 million. He gave the contract for $17 million. Next date of corruption, April 30th,
14:092026. Trump takes a $5 million bribe from the big tobacco industry. Then he personally calls
14:17his FDA commissioner and Dr. Oz demanding that they change the rules so big tobacco can make
14:23billions targeting our kids with vapes, cherry vapes, strawberry vapes, mango vapes, vapes for
14:31everybody. And also the Trump regime submits a amicus brief in favor of making glyphosate
14:41completely immune from any legal liability. And the Supreme Court finds that you can't sue the
14:49makers Monsanto and its successor company, Bear for glyphosate. Let's play this clip right here.
14:55Big Tobacco has wanted for years to break into the $6 billion flavored vape and e-cigarette market.
15:04But the FDA, of course, has had regulations to say that you can't sort of run back this old
15:09playbook of the tobacco companies marketing to kids. So we haven't allowed them to market these
15:15flavored vape products, these bubble gum flavored vape products. I have two teenagers. I know exactly
15:21what's going on. They are marketing these products to kids and they weren't allowed to do it. But
15:26the tobacco lobbyists did the thing that we've talked about over and over again. They made a
15:33$5 million donation. And if you make a $5 million donation, you get a lunch with the president or
15:40dinner with the president. So they get this lunch with the president and they say to the president,
15:44Just like the nursing homes executive said, I want the vape rule to be rescinded.
15:50Surrounded by these big tobacco representatives, President Trump, like at the moment, calls the FDA commissioner and tells them to rescind the regulations.
16:04He calls up Dr. Oz.
16:06All this is happening immediately.
16:07Tells him to rescind the regulations.
16:09The FDA commissioner resigns in protest.
16:12He said in good conscience he couldn't do this. He couldn't be part of this kind of corruption.
16:17But on Friday, the FDA announced that it was bypassing all traditional rulemaking to adopt the exact policy that the tobacco executives asked for the weekend before.
16:29Less than a week. Less than a week. No rulemaking. FDA commissioner resigns.
16:33Next date of corruption, May 11, 2026, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy launches a reality TV
16:41show featuring himself, a big cross-country road trip with his family.
16:47Those vacations that he took this whole time he been Transportation Secretary are paid for by Boeing Toyota United Airlines all the companies his department is supposed to regulate Literally a reality show transportation secretary who got famous on the real world and then the
17:05real world road rules challenge, where he met his wife, who's now also a host on Fox,
17:11engaged in this obvious quid pro quo corruption. Play this clip.
17:16Not all the stories of the corruption in this White House require deep journalistic dives
17:21into obscure public records.
17:23Sometimes you can just log onto YouTube
17:24where you can find the Secretary of Transportation,
17:28Sean Duffy's family road trip reality show.
17:31Who is bankrolling this stunt?
17:34Who's paying for the gas, the hotels,
17:36the cameras filming his vacation?
17:39Not Duffy.
17:40It's Toyota.
17:40It's Boeing.
17:41It's United Airlines.
17:42It's all the companies that Secretary Duffy
17:44is responsible for regulating.
17:47Gas prices are going up.
17:50Transportation costs are going up.
17:53And the Secretary of Transportation is riding in snowmobiles in Montana paid for by the companies he regulates.
17:59Decades ago, that scandal alone, companies you regulate paying for your vacations,
18:06would have resulted in a cabinet member resigning in disgrace.
18:10My Republican colleagues know this.
18:11This didn't used to be acceptable.
18:14But in Trump's White House, everyone has their hand out for a payday.
18:18It's encouraged.
18:48through these meetings. Play this clip. And then finally in May, we discover another monster
18:53corruption scheme. The market bets based on inside information have not in fact been limited
19:01to Trump's staff and friends. The entire time that Trump has been in office, we discover,
19:07he has not been putting his money into a blind trust. He has been personally signing off
19:13on thousands and thousands of individual trades.
19:17No previous president has done this.
19:24Here's an example of how it works.
19:26Early in the year, Trump buys a million dollars of Dell stock.
19:31A couple days later, from the White House podium,
19:34he boosts the company, Dell, that he just bought stock in.
19:38A couple of months later, he gives Dell a $10 billion defense contract with the Pentagon.
19:47That happens over and over again.
19:49The president buys stock.
19:51He publicly boosts the company.
19:53He gives government work.
19:56And Senator Murphy says, I couldn't cover it all.
19:59I tried to do my best on this speech.
20:01What do you think?
20:03How do you make the case?
20:04Obviously, there's so much more.
20:05I mean, he couldn't even get into all of it.
20:07But play this clip.
20:08I know all this feels exhausting, 500 days of corruption, but we've never, ever seen this before.
20:17I only listed like half of the publicly disclosed incidents of corruption.
20:23And we just can't pretend that this is normal.
20:28I'm giving a half an hour to this because this is a serious, serious crisis.
20:33the pay-to-play schemes, the pardons for donors, the contracts for friends,
20:39the favors for Trump's children, the use of inside information to make money.
20:44This is not a disconnected series of scandals.
20:48This is a system.
20:50Government is supposed to serve us.
20:53It is supposed to lower costs.
20:55It's supposed to protect our families, strengthen our schools, make life better for people.
20:59but Donald Trump believes that government exists to serve him,
21:05to make him richer, to protect his friends, to reward his donors.
21:10This is why he doesn't have time for you.
21:14He doesn't have time to solve real problems
21:17because he's making money for himself and his friends
21:20and he's betting that the corruption will be so constant
21:24that we stop hearing it,
21:26that the outrage will just turn into exhaustion,
21:30and the exhaustion will just turn into acceptance.
21:34We can't let that happen,
21:36because once corruption becomes normal,
21:39it becomes permanent.
21:42The White House is not a business opportunity.
21:45The presidency is not a license to steal
21:48from the American people.
21:49The government of the United States doesn't exist
21:52to make Donald Trump rich.
21:54it belongs to the American people.
21:58And after 500 days of corruption,
22:03Democrats and Republicans in this body,
22:07along with the American people,
22:10should start acting like it.
