0:00The Metallica concert not only rocked the stage,
0:03but it also shook the ground.
0:05The concert was so powerful,
0:07it recorded multiple waves on an earthquake measuring device.
0:11The equipment at Virginia Tech
0:12found that the overall energy from the crowd
0:15created an amplitude of roughly a size 1 earthquake.
0:20This is the actual seismogram from the show.
0:23This smaller quake right here is likely the beginning of the show,
0:26when Malika tease the crowd playing just a clip of Enter Sandman.
0:30But this extended one right over here
0:33is what everyone was waiting for in the encore,
0:36when Metallica finally played the song,
0:39shaking the stands and making an earthly impact.
0:42What we reported last night is a lot bigger
0:44than what we typically see at football games.
0:46So Metallica really got the crowd rocking there.
