0:00Andy Burnham, this one's for you.
0:01If you're listening. I'm closing my store here in Chorley.
0:04I can't afford to keep it going.
0:07It's a small store. Two years ago it was fine taking over.
0:10Now I simply can't afford it.
0:12But it's not just me, is it, Andy?
0:14It's these as well. Empty shop.
0:16Family Butchers closed. Another empty shop.
0:19Would you believe it? Another vacant shop to let.
0:23I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a few more of them around here.
0:26Empty shop. Ah, well,
0:27well, well.
0:28Another toilet sign.
0:29Even one of the UK's most populous bakery that was value for money
0:35can't sustain what they were doing.
0:37Another one closed. Ah,
0:40this one's for sale. It's not to let my mistake,
0:42but why would you buy it? Hello?
0:44Hello. Oh,
0:45would you look at that? Another one closed.
0:47This is becoming an absolute scene in our town,
0:51in your town, in everybody else's town.
0:53Andy, you're not listening.
0:55Everybody's closing. Businesses are closing.
0:58If you just took just 10 of those empty stores and let them survive
1:02and each store employed four people just on minimum wage,
1:05it would create £1 million alone just in Charlie.
1:09Have a really hard think.
1:11You need to change now to let businesses survive.
