0:17Life was more fun. Now you fast forward to this era we're in,
0:21life is about as chaotic as can be in a business owner.
0:24I gotta tell you, workers comp
0:26fraud is mind boggling, and they get away with it.
0:29It's just the most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with in business.
0:33It's unbelievable that, of course,
0:35I just lost a pager lawsuit.
0:36And those pager class action lawsuits.
0:39So they find us $450,000.
0:43You think the employees are gonna be thrilled when they see that cheque
0:45with 450 grand. But guess what?
0:47The attorney general gets 33%,
0:50the attorneys get 33%, and then the employees get 33% minus their taxes.
0:55Who in the fuck is getting screwed here besides me?
0:59The employees who think they were suing us for a reason.
1:02But the attorneys put him up to it.
1:04For instance, workers comp.
1:06I got a guy that worked for me.
1:07I got him another job at a restaurant.
1:10He worked my lunch shift. We closed down for lunch after COVID.
1:13A month later, he still has the other Job.
1:16But he's suing me for a bad back and a bad neck.
1:19And yet he hasn't missed a day of work.
1:20Over in the other place. And I can't get workers comp to drop the case.
1:24I have another guy in Long Beach who sends me an email.
1:28I happen to be reading it one night.
1:29My restaurant, in a little booth.
1:31And he's telling me about a lawsuit he has with an employee.
1:34And then he mentions that person works for me.
1:37And I looked to my left cause I knew that person was working.
1:39And that person was staring right at me.
1:41And I thought, oh my god,
1:42she knows I'm reading about her.
1:44So she complains about having a bad neck and a bad back.
1:49And yet she works for me and has never missed a day.
1:52But it caused me to implement a whole new program.
1:54Once again, the bureaucratic bullshit you gotta cover your ass with.
1:58So now I make every employee,
1:59when they come to work, they sign a piece of paper that they're healthy.
2:02They leave work and say they didn't see any accidents,
2:05they didn't have an accident.
2:06Boom! Sign it.
2:08It's bullshit. All of these workers comps,
2:1090% of them are fraud. Absolute fraud and blackmail.
2:15We are totally getting fucked.
